1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Make in India Week’ in Mumbai. Over 2,500 international and 8,000 Indian companies are scheduled to participate in the exhibition which will go on for a week.

2. India's Ambassador to Tajikistan Biraja Prasad passed away. Biraja Prasad, a 1998 batch Indian Foreign Service officer of Odisha, was the youngest IFS officer to be appointed as India's Ambassador to any country.

3. The first Mega Food Park of Madhya Pradesh promoted by M/s Indus mega Food Park Pvt. Ltd was inaugurated by Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries at Village Panwa, Tehsil Kasarwad, District Khargone.

4. New Zealand Captain Brendon McCullum becomes the first cricketer to play 100 continuous Tests since debut, without missing a single Test in between. McCullum is only the third New Zealand player after Stephen Fleming and Daniel Vettori to play 100 tests for New Zealand.

5. Ashok Chawla has been appointed as the chairman of TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) Board.
