National Fish Farmers’ Day – Observed on July 10
- The National Fish Farmers Day is celebrated on 10th July every year, this day is celebrated in memory of scientists Dr K. H. Alikunhi and Dr H. L. Chaudhary.
- Both the scientist successfully demonstrated Hypophysation (technology of induced breeding) in Indian Major Carps (common name for several species of fish) on 10th July 1957 at the former CIFRI Pond Culture Division in Cuttack, Odisha.
- This year it was the 63rd National Fish Farmers Day.
