• Aizawl FC wins the I­League after drawing 1­1 with Shillong Lajong. They are the first club from north­east to wins the title. 

28th April, Current Affairs: 

• President Pranab Mukherjee conferred the Jnanpith award on eminent Bengali poet Sankha Ghosh in New Delhi.
