About UNGA resolution :
- With this mechanism, emerging countries in Africa and Asia are expected to have a greater say in the formulation of global tax regulations.

- The rules provide governments with a precise template for taking forward the two-pillar solution to address the tax challenges arising from digitalization and globalization of the economy.
- Pillar 1 deals with the biggest and most profitable multinational enterprises and reallocates a part of their profit to countries where they sell their products and services.
- It is expected to divert more than 125 billion USD in tax to market jurisdiction each year.
- Pillar 2 aims to control tax competition on corporate profits by introducing a global minimum tax of 15% from 2023.
- The rules specify the scope and mechanism for Pillar Two’s so-called Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) rules.
