1. The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated Integrated Operations Control Room (IOCR), Bhaskaracharya Institute for Space Applications and Geo Informatics (BISAG) & Tele-medicines projects.

2. The Afghan passport has been identified as the least powerful in the world and the German Passport is the most powerful passport in the world for third year in row. Indian Passport has been placed at 48th position in the list of 50 Most Powerful Passports in the world.

3. Gianni Infantino of Switzerland has been elected as the President of World football's governing body (FIFA). He will replace 79 years old Sepp Blatter. Gianni is also the General Secretary European Governing body (UEFA).

4. President Pranab Mukherjee launched country's largest conservation project and Kerala's first green project 'Muziris Heritage project' at the oldest port town, about 50 km from Kochi.

9. According to the Economic Survey 2015-16, India is far from being a full tax-paying democracy with about 5.5 per cent of the people who earn paying tax and only 15.5 per cent of the net national income being reported to the tax authorities.
