• BJP and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) decided to form a coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir. PDP's Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to Take Oath as J&K Chief Minister on Sunday.
• Rajendra K Pachauri has quit as chairman of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
• Chris Gayle scores the first double century in World Cup history. His partnership with MN Samuels of 372 becomes the highest partnership in ODI history.

• The budget session of Lok Sabha starts from today.
• AAP MLA Ram Niwas Goyal was elected as the Speaker and Bandana Kumari as the Deputy Speaker on Delhi Assembly session.
• The oscar awards for 2015 given today at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Julianne Moore has won the Academy Award for best actress for "Still Alice". Eddie Redmayne won the best actor award for Theory of Everything. The movie Birdman wins the four awards including Best Movie.

21st February:
• Nitish Kumar of the Janata Dal United took oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for fourth times along with 22 ministers.
• Maldives Polices arrested former president Mohamed Nasheed under an antiterror
law for the alleged illegal detention of a judge.

20th February:
• Jitan Ram Manjhi resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar.
• After Indian Independence, for the first time Arunachal Pradesh is connected to the rest of the nation through railway network. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurate the Naharlagun Delhi Rajdhani Express from Itanagar.
• Brendon McCullum scores the fastest fifty in World Cup history with 18 balls. His achievement comes in a match against England.

• Five people including two officials of the Petroleum Ministry were arrested for allegedly leaking confidential government documents to energy consultants and corporate.

• The auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL)8 held in Bangalore.

15th February:
• Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena reaches India on two day official visit.
• The death toll reaches 153 with 11 more died in swine flu in Rajasthan.
• India beat Pakistan by 76 runs in their first match of Cricket World Cup 2015 in Adelaide to keep the unbeaten record against Pakistan in World Cup.
• "Taxi" by Iranian director Jafar Panahi won the Golden Bear prize for best film at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.

14th February:
• Arvind Kejriwal of Aam Adami Party takes oath as Delhi Chief Minister.
• The Cricket World Cup 2015 starts from today with the inauguration match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
• England pacer Steven Finn took the first hattrick of the 2015 World Cup to become the seventh bowler to do so in the history of the event.

13th February:
• Today is observed as World Radio Day.
• Nine passengers died and over 100 were injured after the BangaloreErnakulam Intercity Express derailed near the border between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
