SSC JE Salary After 7th Pay Commission
The net amount of SSC JE salary includes Basic Pay as per the 7th Pay Commission and Allowances.
Thus, SSC JE Salary After 7th Pay Commission = (Basic pay as on 1st January 2016 X 2.57) + Allowances.
The pay band of SSC JE is under level 6 pay matrix that is Rs.35,400 to Rs.11,2400. So SSC JE salary in hand will be around 44,000/- including all the allowances.

HRA i.e House Rent Allowance
HRA varies as per the city you are living in. It is generally higher in X & Y cities than Z cities. Rate of HRA will not be less than Rs. 5400, Rs. 3600 and Rs. 1800 at X, Y and Z class cities respectively. Classification of Cities/Towns Rate of House Rent Allowance per month as a percentage of Basic Pay only.
The admissibility of House Rent Allowance (HRA) shall be as under:-

When Dearness Allowance (DA) crosses 25%, the rates of HRA will be revised to 27%, 18% & 9% for X, Y & Z class cities respectively and further revised to 30%, 20% and 10% when DA crosses 50%.
SSC JE Job Profile:
The role of a SSC Junior Engineer include the following:
- Supervision Of Work: In the beginning stage, the junior engineers have to supervise the works in order to understand the functions of the organization.
- Planning: Junior engineer is responsible to make estimation for repairs and innovation and design the planning for flagship projects carried in their department.
- Accounts: JE have to maintaining the bills for all work carried out by the contractor and responsible to look after the stocks and he/she is responsible to pass the bills to the contractor.
- Scheme Execution: Engineer make thorough understanding of the schemes of the government and must ensure the smooth work Flow of those schemes. Execution of the various government schemes, in which the Junior Engineers will be posted.
- Assisting Superiors: Reporting to the higher authorities on a daily basis about the section they are heading.
- Maintenance of Equipment: Junior Engineers must ensure the safety of equipment and also ensure that equipment is maintained. All equipment on the premises must be safe, reliable and efficient.
