IBPS RRB Cut Off for 2020:
The IBPS RRB cut off 2020 is fixed at various stages of the recruitment process. It is the minimum score requirement to progress to the further stages of the recruitment. The cut off is fixed based on the total vacancy available. The other factors influencing the cut off are exam difficulty level, number of applicants, etc.
Also the exam may take place in various number of shifts. In each shift the difficulty level of the question paper will be not in a uniform manner. So the calculation of scores will create an imbalance. To make the calculation of scores to look uniform, IBPS will carry out a process called normalization. For the process of normalization, a formula is used as given below.
Candidate’s percentile rank = {(Total number of students in a slot) – (Rank of the candidate in that slot) / (Total number of students in a slot – 1)} * 100
Using this formula, the percentile rank is found for all the candidates. Now the normalized score of the candidates are taken into consideration for the result announcement. The candidates with the normalized scores above the fixed cut off are qualified in the exam.
