About Prabhupada:

  • Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada founded the International Society for Krishna Consciousness ISKCON commonly known as the “Hare Krishna movement”.
  • ISKCON has translated Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta and other Vedic literature in 89 languages, playing a stellar role in the dissemination of Vedic literature across the world.
  • Swami Ji also established over a hundred temples and wrote several books, teaching the path of Bhakti Yoga to the world.

Snow Leopard, Black-necked Crane Named State Animal And Bird of Ladakh

  • The newly formed Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh has declared the black-necked crane and snow leopard as the new state bird and animal.
  • Previously, The black-necked crane was the state bird of the former state of J&K, along with Kashmir stag (Hangul) as the state animal.
  • The notification in this regard was released by Shri Radha Krishna Mathur, Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh on August 31, 2021.
  • The decision was taken keeping in view bifurcation of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh into separate administrative divisions in 2019.

AIIMS Delhi became first Indian hospital to house fire station inside premises

  • Director Dr Randeep Guleria stated The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Delhi, has become the first hospital in India to house a fire station inside the hospital premises.
  • Making the announcement at a function to mark the 75th Independence Day, he informed that the AIIMS has joined hands with the Delhi Fire Service for the purpose.

World Organ Donation Day – Observed on Aug 13

Twitter in compliance with new IT Rules

First Gold Medal For India In Olympics 2021: This Saturday is a historic day for India. Neeraj Chopra won the first gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020 for India in the men’s javelin throw event on 7th August 2021. Neeraj has become the second Indian to win an individual gold medal in Olympics after shooter Abhinav Bindra. Neeraj serves as Junior Commissioned Officer in Indian Army, will throw the spear as long as possible in the final event. Neeraj won the First Gold Medal For India In Olympics 2021 in the men’s javelin throw event with a remarkable throw of 87.58m in his second attempt. He is the first athlete from India to win an Olympic medal after 120 years.



Neeraj’s gold took India’s medal count to 7 at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The 23 years Neeraj satisfied many of the Indian’s dreams to win Gold Medal For India In Olympics 2021. He is a role model for today’s youth. He made us all proud with his incredible performance. As of now, 7 medals were bagged by India with 2 Silver medals and 4 bronze medals, and 1 Gold medal.
