Police Commemoration Day- OCT 21

  • National Police Commemoration Day is observed on October 21 every year.

  • Police Commemoration Day commemorates the day in 1959, when twenty Indian soldiers were attacked by Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Hot Spring area, in which, ten Indian policemen lost their lives and seven were imprisoned.

  • Chairman of Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, India will host young leaders from 75 democracies under the initiative Gen-Next Democratic Network.
  • Briefing media in New Delhi, Sahasrabuddhe, young leaders below the age of 35 from the ruling party, opposition party and other key parties are being invited and the first batch will include leaders from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Japan, Indonesia, Chile and Zambia.

CCEA approves fixation of nutrient based subsidy rates for Phosphatic & Potassic fertilizers- 2022

  • Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the proposal of the Department of Fertilizers for fixation of Nutrient Based Subsidy Rates for Phosphatic and Potassic fertilisers (P&K) for the year 2021-22.
  • The approved rate for Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) in case of Nitrogen has been fixed at 789 rupees per kilogram, for Phosphorus it is 45.323 rupees per Kg, for Potash 10.116 rupees per Kg and 2.374 rupees per Kilogram for Sulphur.

  • The medium of Tele Law effectively provides pre-litigation advice / consultation to beneficiaries by Panel Lawyers through a huge network covering 51,434 Common Service Centres in 50,000 Gram Panchayats in 633 districts across 34 States and UTs.
  • With registration login of 5480 beneficiaries this login drive registered 138% increase over daily average registration of beneficiaries.
